Toilet Verse Tower Defense Boss Mode

20 / 30 / 50 waves, miner cash, boosted infect rolls, and the named cameraman bosses.

Boss Mode

Boss Mode in Toilet Verse Tower Defense is a wave map, not a single-arena duel. Easy is 20 waves, Medium is 30 waves, Hard is 50 waves. The change exists because the old one-wave Boss Mode dumped a lump of cash and asked new accounts to kill a Titan before a miner could tick. The wave version lets Miner Toilet and Drill Miner print before Laser Cameraman walks the lane.

You still place toilets against cameramen. You still equip five units and sit near a 15-placement cap. What changes is the payoff: named bosses at the end of the chain, a real parasite attempt, and — when the boss spawns with a glow — a boosted infect that can roll a higher tier. This is not Toilet Tower Defense’s boss list. The names below are TVTD’s cameraman / alliance bosses.

Do not queue Boss Mode during Getting Started. Clear City Hard first. If City Hard leaks, Boss Mode Easy will leak on wave 15 with less dignity.

Wave counts and why miners are mandatory

DifficultyWavesWho it is for
Easy20First parasite attempts, learning the pad
Medium30Better cash, better bosses, still a miner map
Hard50Funded exclusives or parasited Titans

Place the miner on wave 1. Upgrade it before you flood the cap with Exclusive copies. Hard’s 50 waves will starve anyone who plays it like the old lump-sum Boss Mode. Auto skip is fine after the miner and the first choke are built; leave it off until then so you can inspect-sell. Full skip rules are on how to play.

Match cash is still match cash. Lobby coins, gems, and XP potions do not upgrade a toilet mid-wave. Redeem codes before you step on the pad if you need potions for unit levels. Premium 2x AFK coins do not apply inside Boss Mode.

Named bosses

These are the bosses this wiki treats as the Boss Mode roster. They also appear as parasite targets — killing them is how you add the matching toilet to inventory when the infect roll hits.

  • Laser Cameraman — the first boss most accounts see on Easy. Treat him as the tutorial parasite, not as a skill check.
  • Ghost Cameraman — easier to lose track of on a busy lane. Keep a toilet that can actually see the path, not three miners in a corner.
  • Powered Titan Speakerman — Titan-sized, needs upgraded DPS before Hard. A parasited Speakerman on your side is the long-term answer; until then, fund splash.
  • Titan Drillman — high-value parasite. Bring a miner so you can afford the units that chip him. Upgraded Titan Drillman is a later capture, not the Easy-pad drop.
  • Golden Cameraman — showcase boss and a prize parasite. Do not waste a 10x Infect session on Easy City hoping he walks that lane; he belongs here.
  • Drillman — smaller name, still a parasite target. If you need economy more than a Titan, this is the practical hunt.

Difficulty changes which of these you actually reach and how much cash you have when they spawn. Easy is for Laser Cameraman practice. Medium is the first honest hunt. Hard is where boosted glows matter because you already survived 49 waves to see them.

Cash, boosted bosses, parasite chance

Boss Mode is the dedicated hunt pad, but it is not the only place bosses spawn. Endless Mode throws more bosses over a long run, which is why some players parasite there instead. Boss Mode is shorter and more predictable: you know the wave cap, you know when to stop skipping, you know which difficulty you queued.

A boosted boss spawns with a glow and a boosted label. Boosted does not mean faster or tankier in the patch that introduced the glow — it means the infect roll can land a higher tier (Tier 1 through Tier 5) if you capture it. A normal kill can still parasite; boosted is the extra lottery, not a second health bar.

Infect chance is a roll after the kill. The 10x Infect gamepass multiplies that chance. The 2x pass is the cheaper multiplier. Neither pass kills the boss for you. A broken parasite is a failed roll on a dead boss — you still won the match. Full infect steps, inventory, and what “broke” looks like sit on how to parasite. Named captures are catalogued on parasited units.

Loadout for the pad

Slot 1: miner. Slot 2: the best DPS you can afford to place. Slot 3: splash or slow. Slots 4–5: a second miner or an Exclusive you can actually upgrade (UFO, Scientist, Glitch, Rocket, Toxic School, Flying Bus, DJ, Beta Toilet — see exclusive units). Two Titans and no income is how Hard dies on wave 20 of 50.

Use the loadout planner before a 50-wave sit. Check the best units list only after a miner is in the plan. Trading for a Golden Cameraman toilet you cannot place is a lobby problem, not a Boss Mode problem.

When to leave Boss Mode for Endless

Leave the Boss Mode pad when the named list is no longer the bottleneck. If Laser Cameraman and Drillman already sit in inventory, Easy 20-wave clears are a slow infect farm. Medium 30 is still worth it while you are missing Powered Titan Speakerman or Titan Drillman and you want a known wave cap. Hard 50 is worth it when a boosted glow is the point — you can fund the full lane and you will not waste 40 waves on a miner you forgot to place.

Switch to Endless when you want more boss spawns per hour than a 20-wave Easy can give, and when your economy can survive scaling HP after the Ultimate Titan shows up. Endless is a bad parasite pad if you still leak on City Hard; you will die before the glow. Boss Mode Easy is the correct parasite pad for that account.

Do not hop every other match. Finish the difficulty you queued. A Medium clear that breaks the parasite is still Medium loot plus a lesson; an aborted Hard at wave 12 is just a wasted miner setup. If three Easy runs in a row break the infect, that is the 10x Infect decision on how to parasite, not a reason to jump into Endless panic. If three Hard runs leak before the boss, that is a tier list problem — swap the flex slot, keep the miner, and only then come back to this pad.

Patch notes sometimes retune wave counts. If a lobby screenshot still says “one wave, 300k cash,” it is leftover from the old Boss Mode. Trust the in-game wave counter (20 / 30 / 50) and the updates hub over a year-old video intro. The named bosses on this page did not become TTD toilets in the meantime. You still place toilets. You still inspect with click or R2. You still sell from the panel. The only thing that changed is that a miner finally has time to work before Golden Cameraman arrives, which is why this mode is worth playing at all.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common Toilet Verse Tower Defense questions.

How many waves is Boss Mode in Toilet Verse Tower Defense?

Easy is 20 waves, Medium is 30, Hard is 50. It is a wave map now, not a single lump-sum fight.

Which bosses can I fight here?

Laser Cameraman, Ghost Cameraman, Powered Titan Speakerman, Titan Drillman, Golden Cameraman, and Drillman. Difficulty and luck decide which one you see that run.

Do I still need a miner in Boss Mode?

Yes. The wave format exists so miners can print before the boss. Hard 50 without income is a leak, not a flex.

What does a boosted boss mean?

A glow and a boosted label on the boss. The infect roll can land a higher tier if you capture it. It is not extra movement speed.

Is Boss Mode better than Endless for parasitizing?

Boss Mode is shorter and has a known wave cap, so it is better while you are still learning. Endless can spawn more bosses per long run once your economy scales — see Endless Mode.
